Goznak unveils own software for ATMs to accept new banknotes
MOSCOW, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Russian mint Goznak has unveiled its software for automated teller machines (ATMs) that settles the matter of acceptance of new and renewed banknotes, PRIME reported on Tuesday.
After the foreign suppliers had halted their support of ATMs in the country, software updates and addition of new templets became a problem. “Now Goznak’s specialists designed a software program that deals with the problem,” the mint’s representatives said.
The software program was installed on real ATMs and accepts 100 and 5,000-ruble banknotes of the new version.
The program contains the so-called “banknote templets” – files with visual images of the banknotes that make them identified and verified.
